By 2015, the Colorado Clean Energy Cluster is internationally and nationally recognized for innovative projects and initiatives that connect clean energy businesses and research to catalyze economic vitality and associated environmental and community benefits.
Launched in 2006 and originally named the Northern Colorado Clean Energy Cluster, the CCEC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit economic development organization dedicated to growing primary jobs in the area of clean energy in Colorado.
Today, the Colorado Clean Energy Cluster is a well-established, thriving organization with a growing member base supporting over 32 companies employing over 3,000 people. Through its active initiatives and international collaboration the CECC is receiving increasing national and international recognition, helping to put Colorado's clean energy companies in a national and international spotlight. The CCEC's latest initiative - the International Cleantech Network - highlights the global leadership role the CCEC is providing, which will help link regional clean energy businesses with international partners in the form of business and industry groups, economic development organizations, entrepreneurial education programs and training opportunities.

Mike Freeman is an Independent Consultant for the CSU Research Foundation. Mike has served on the CCEC Board since its inception in 2006. Mike also serves as the Chair of the Rocky Mountain Innosphere (RMI2), on the board of UniverCity Connections and on the State of Colorado Task Force on Creative Economy.
